84. Cenevre Otomobil Fuarı uluslararası basın günleriyle açılıyor. Fuardaki ilk etkinlik, Avrupa Yılın Otomobili seçimi oldu. Otomotiv basınından 22 gazetecinin oluşturduğu Car of the year jürisi bu yıl en çok oyu yeni peugeot 308 için kullandı. Uzun yıllar sonra ilk kez bir modeli Yılın Otomobili seçilen Peugeot dünyası, bu birinciliğe oldukça sevindi.
COTY'nin 307 puanla birinci seçtiği peugeot 308 modelini, 223 puanla BMW i3 izledi. 216 puan alan Tesla S model üçüncü olurken, diğer finalistler ve aldıkları oylar şöyle oldu:
Citroen C4 182 puan, Mazda3 180 puan, Skoda Octavia 172 puan aldı. Finalistler listesinin son sırasında ise Mercedes S Class yer aldı.
The 308 received 307 points from the jury of European business and trade journalists. The BMW i3 came second with 223 points and Tesla's S model was third with 216 points. In the group of seven nominated vehicles, the Citroen C4 Picasso took fourth place with 182 points followed by the Mazda3 with 180 points. Skoda's Octavia took sixth place with 172 points and the No. 7 position went to the Mercedes S class.
